My Hueman series is vastly different to any of my other work. In 2020, when the world went silent, I turned inwards–exploring my own inner world and what’s meaningful to me–questioning my fragility and existence. I embraced the stillness and solitude, and found what appeared on my canvases was unlike anything else I’ve painted before–otherworldly, etherial beings, calm and surreal. They are earless, in quietude. The elongated heads give a sense of an infinite connection to the eternal.
Bold, vibrant monochromatic colors are balanced with ample white space, creating a sense of peace.
